These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Count The Cost (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

The Service

Count The Cost provides bookkeeping software. It is a tool to help you record and report on your finances. It is not a substitute for a licensed accountant, CPA, tax advisor, or attorney. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for your own tax, accounting, and compliance decisions.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other organizations or users.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization, or interfere with its normal operation.
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt other users.

Your data

You retain ownership of the financial data you put into the Service. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that data in order to provide the Service to you. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue features over time. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid disruption of your access to your records and to give notice of material changes.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that it will meet every accounting, tax, or regulatory requirement applicable to your organization.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Count The Cost will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
